Therapists, let’s talk!
Somewhere along the way, I became the person people call.
Three weeks into opening her own practice, a therapist texted me: "I don't even know what I don't know, what I am doing!"
Another group practice owner called to tell me she’s staring down a 1099-to-W2 conversion, terrified of getting it wrong.
There’s the clinician who called to tell me she restarted the Medicare enrollment application a fourth time and is ready to give up.
And then there’s the text from a therapist stating, “I was just served a subpoena! What do I do?”
I answer those questions. I always have. There's a reason this business is called Beauty for Ashes. I believe in helping people build something good from the hard, confusing, and overwhelming parts of life (and now business).
When someone reaches out, I show up. That’s what I’ve done, and what I continue to do. But I've reached the point where the "quick questions" have slowly and quietly become a second job. The truth is, the people who ask these questions deserve more than a rushed text or quick call between clients. They deserve my full attention, my real experience, and an action plan they can actually use.
So, I'm making it official.
Whether you're building a practice, working on a difficult case, or walking a family through the court system, choose your need below, and let’s sit down together to figure it out.
Practice & Business Consultation:
Intended for practice owners and clinicians building their business.
You started your practice to help people, not to decode Medicare portals, untangle 1099-versus-W2 IRS rules, or figure out how to hire (and sometimes let go of) clinicians. I've done all of it, in my own multi-state group practice, and I can help you skip the expensive mistakes.
Bring me: Medicare and payer credentialing • 1099→W2 conversions • hiring and firing • group practice operations and systems • "I'm just starting and don't know where to begin."
Clinical Consultation:
Intended for fellow clinicians who need another set of eyes.
Some cases keep you up at night. Sometimes you just need to think out loud with someone who gets it. I offer clinical case consultation, drawing on art therapy (no pun intended), play therapy, expressive arts, trauma-informed care, high-conflict family dynamics, mandated reporting, and much, much more to help you move a stuck case forward with confidence.
Bring me: complex or stuck cases • treatment planning • play therapy / expressive therapies consultation • ethical gray areas • Clinical supervision for licensure.
Court-Related Consultation
Intended for professionals working with court-involved families.
Separation, high-conflict divorce, custody, co-parenting breakdowns, reunification, and complex Probate matters are some of the hardest terrain in our field and demand a different level of experience. I consult with clinicians and other professionals navigating these difficult-to-navigate cases, helping you think clearly about your role, your approach, and your next step.
Bring me: reunification cases • co-parenting and high-conflict dynamics • navigating your role when the court is involved • holding the therapeutic line under pressure.
A note on scope: I provide professional consultation and support; I can not and do not give legal advice.
I think you might be here because
You're starting your own practice, and the number of decisions is paralyzing. Entity setup, credentialing, rates, systems — everyone talks about the clinical work, but nobody handed you the business manual. You don't need a lecture. You need someone to say, "Here's what you do first."
You own a group practice, and you've hit the stuff they don't teach you: how to move your team to W2, how to hire someone who's actually a fit, how to have the hard conversation when they're not, how to get credentialed without losing your mind.
Or you're wrestling with Medicare credentialing specifically, which, honestly, is where most people find me. It's confusing on purpose, and you don't have to figure it out alone.
If any of that landed, keep reading.
How it works:
First, let’s get you on the calendar. Pick your session, and then we’ll choose a time that works for both of us.
Tell me your story. Fill out a short form before we meet so we can start with an understanding of your situation and focus our time on you, not on catching me up.
Then we meet, and we get to work. Real conversation, real problem-solving, and a clear set of next steps you can actually take.
A little about me:
I’m not a business coach, and I didn’t just read a book about private practice to quote from. I’m a multi-state-licensed clinical professional who built a group practice, learned (the hard way) through every stage, and lived to tell about it.
I've credentialed many therapists with all payers (including Medicare). I've converted a team from 1099 to W2. I’ve been audited many times by Medicaid and DOR. I've hired clinicians I adore and had to let go of ones I didn't. I've made so many mistakes along the way, and I sincerely want to help you skip the mistakes I made.
I'm licensed across many states, and I run a state-board-approved CEU provider organization, which means staying on top of what this field actually requires isn't a hobby for me; it's the work I do every day.
When it comes to the court system, I bring more than clinical instinct; I bring expert training. I'm a forensically trained expert witness and a Certified High-Conflict Divorce Coach, and I’ve worked within both the family and probate court systems. I know how these cases actually unfold, where they tend to go awry, and how a clinician can hold steady in the middle of them.
Though, really, I'm just someone who has stood exactly where you're standing, and I genuinely love helping people find their way through.
A few things you might be wondering:
Can't I just Google this information? Sure! You can spend countless hours scouring the internet for information scattered across outdated blog posts and forum threads that assume you already know the answer. But I’m guessing you came here because you’ve done that and it isn't working for you anymore. I can offer you at least one honest conversation tailored to your actual situation that will save you a weekend of second-guessing.
I'm not sure which option I need. Then let’s start with a single conversation. We'll figure out the real shape of the problem together, and go from there. No pressure to commit to more.
What's your refund policy? Results are not promised or guaranteed. I wish they could be! What I can promise you is that you will get 100% of my attention on your business, and our conversations will motivate you and guide you in the direction I would take as a successful business owner.

One 60-minute video call to work through the thing that's keeping you up at night. Bring me your Medicare roadblock, your hiring dilemma, or "here's my whole situation, help me see it clearly." You'll leave knowing exactly what to do next.
